Q&A: (original questions)

  1. If you could meet anyone from throughout history. Who and why?

– I want to meet and be friends with Elizabeth Cady Staton! An early advocate for women’s rights movement in the 19th century. Her beliefs were really awesome. Which includes women’s parental and custody rights, employment and income rights, divorce, the economic health of the family, voting rights and even birth control 😀 But seriously, who wouldn’t want to meet this fearless woman?

  1. What is your favourite book and why?

The one book that I can read one hundred times would be, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher 😀 Why? Because I can very much relate to Hannah Baker… (You can read the book to have an idea on why I can relate to her) This book made me realize the fact that, we’re really not alone. We can reach out to others and ask help from them.

  1. Who is your favourite fiction character from any medium and why?

– Rosie Dunne from Love, Rosie written by Cecelia Ahern. She dreamed big of owning a hotel of her own but unfortunately that dream delayed due to an unexpected baby and the Dad was more unfortunate for her, because he is a douche bag for just running away from them. But this baby made her a woman, a stronger and dauntless one! Got hurt from the past but still chose to love. I just got irritated by her and Alex (his bestfriend/ love of her life) when they keep denying and hiding their affection from each other. But the real reason why I loved Rosie is because, despite of the challenges that came her way. She still pursued her dream and she didn’t give up!

Here are some of the awesome quotes from Rosie and Alex ❤

“It was not an ordinary friendship we were inseparable yet constantly being separated.”

“No matter where you are or what you’re doing or who you’re with- it doesn’t matter; it doesn’t change it, I always have and I always will, honestly, truly, completely, love you.”

“Choosing the person you want to share your life with is one of the most important decisions any of us makes. Ever. Because when it’s wrong, it turns your life to grey. And sometimes, sometimes you don’t even notice until you wake up one morning, and realize years have gone by.”

And lastly, my favorite of them all!

“You deserve someone who loves you with every single beat of his heart, someone who thinks about you constantly, someone who spends every minute of every day just wondering what you’re doing, where you are, who you’re with, and if you’re OK. You need someone who can help you reach your dreams and protect you from your fears. You need someone who will treat you with respect, love every part of you, especially your flaws. You should be with someone who could make you happy, really happy, dancing on air happy.”

Q&A: (pcb’s questions)

1) Who is/are the starlight of your life?

– The starlight of my life would be my aunt. (I’ve been mentioning her on my other awards) She really just inspires me to “dream big” and not be a mediocre when aiming a goal, whether it is for the long run or short run.

2) Emotional strength or physical strength? Who is stronger and why?

– For an emotional person like me, I would choose emotional strength. Emotions can immensely affect your performance and even your health. When you’re sad it’s either you don’t have the appetite to eat or you eat like a dinosaur. When you’re happy it also reflect on your actions. Physical strength is really something, but the mind or emotions are more in control of the body.

3) Your life’s motto?

– “Smile” even when there’s no reason to do it.

“Believe in yourself” because how can others believe you? If you don’t even believe in yourself.

MY QUESTIONS:

1) What is that one place that makes you feel nostalgic all of a sudden?

2) Who is your favorite author and why?

3) What is/are your asset/s?

My nominees are..

Abyssbrain                             Toutons Tubas and Other Tales

Maria                                      Asil Acasio

Sophie Kat                             JA Lopez

Caitlyn (A Little Daydreamer)

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!! (Allergic to “e” Challenge)

One of my favorite bloggers nominated me for this challenge, poetry and chocolate and books, and all I can say is “Y you do this to me?” I love using the letter “e”! Even your blog’s name have the letter “e” in it. Why eliminate such letter? Without “e” even the word “letter” I cannot spell out, and “better” and “come” in “better days to come” or even my favorite show “The Walking Dead” and my favorite words are “dead” and “death”. (Honestly, I don’t know why) But the true mastermind of this challenge is Asil Acasio! (Why kababayan? Whyyyy?) but it is a very clever idea for a challenge 🙂 So thank you pcb for nominating me 😀

Anywho, enough of my ranting and on with the challenge! But first here are the rules..

RULES:

1) Write a whole paragraph without any word containing the letter “e”

2) By reading this you are already signed up.

3) Challenge at least five bloggers to do the challenge. They must do it within 24 hours or it is considered as failure.

4) If you fail or pass, suffer in the Page of Lame.

5) If you win, wallow in the Page of Fame.

6) You can check your standings on my menu, Your Standings.

My paragraph: (You can read this using a rich kid’s/maarte voice)

I don’t want to say it or think about it. Kaya magkokonyo ako BWAHAHA! I think I’ll go to Mcdonald’s nalang.. Bili anything that is yummy! But my Lola wants tuyo so badly! Ah! I know naaaa! Play bato bato pick with my Lola para di na siya magpabuy ng tuyo! Always naman siyang talo HAHA But all I got is a batok!

For those who doesn’t understand konyo:

I don’t want to say it or think about it. So I will use both the Filipino and English Language BWAHAHA! I think I’ll go to Mcdonald’s.. Buy anything that is yummy! But my Grandmother wants dried fish so badly! Ah! I know! I will challenge her in a rock, paper and scissors match, so that she will not demand dried fish. Anyways, she always loses against me HAHA But all I got is a knock on the head!

That was strenuous! (Yes I know! That paragraph sucks!)

My “lucky” nominees:

Q&A:

1. What place in the world means something to you?

– I haven’t gone to many places… But the most sentimental place that I’ve been to is Tagaytay in the Philippines. The ambiance is cozy and there’s this unexplainable serenity that I feel there.

2. If you could change your accent to another, what accent would you change it to?

– I want a British accent! Who wouldn’t want to sound like the Queen of Duchess? It sounds bloody elegant!

– There are so many.. But I’ll go for a Lexus IS 250!

4. Who do you look up to in life (your role model)?

– My aunt, she is independent at the age of 15. She managed to juggle work and college life.

5. If you could go to any concert of a band or singer right now, who would you go to see?

– Definitely, Ellie Goulding’s concert! I love her voice and the lyrics of her songs are poetic.

– Goal-driven, introvert and artsy

8. What is your biggest goal in life?

COLDCHICKENSOUP GOT NOMINATED! (Liebster Award)

This is indeed a good morning for me, when I was mentioned by @thoughtsofaninternetperson.com on his blog about the Liebster Award and got nominated! His blog is all about stories, helpful and useful advices and all things informative. Plus he’s into Economics, like me. I immediately googled Liebster Award, because I’m just new here in the blogosphere. And as I discovered, it is for a good cause because it is all about promoting and helping new bloggers in entering the blogosphere. I loved the idea and I also want to help new bloggers that are not yet recognized and discovered by the mainstream population.

RULES:

  1. Thank and link the person who nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions given by the nominator.
  3. Nominate 11 other bloggers who have less than 200 followers and link them.
  4. Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer.
  5. Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Q&A:

1. What is one inanimate object you own that has a significant meaning to you?

– I’m a bookworm and I have more books in my room rather than bags and shoes. There’s this one book that my friend gave me as a gift. I couldn’t find it in any bookstore that I know and I’m not a fan of e-books. The title of this book is “From Bad to Cursed” by Katie Alender and to top that all up, he is not even a bookworm but he miraculously found it! I was really touched because not all people can give-up their precious time just to make a nerdy girl happy. That book is more than just satisfying the bookworm inside me but it also reminds me that there’s someone out there that genuinely cares for me.

2. If you could superficially marry anyone in the world for a day, who would it be and why?

– Cara Delevigne, Emma Watson and Natalie Portman are some of the names that popped into my head. (I’m straight, BTW) I just have this weird fascination of having crushes on confident, gorgeous and intelligent women of today. But seriously, If I were a boy I would marry all of them! Why?

I admire Cara’s confidence and she is not afraid of showing her true side, which is her quirky side. And I also like her saying, “If you’re not confident, then just pretend to be one.” Emma Watson is known for being Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series and currently the UN Woman Goodwill Ambassador and just graduated last May at Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. (Talking about beauty and brains) *heart eyes* Natalie Portman was known by being Padmè Amidala in Star Wars trilogy and for other movies like V for Vendetta and Black Swan. Which are my own personal favorites. In the academia side, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Harvard University. Need I really say more?

3. What 3 things would you need to face the zombie apocalypse?

– As a TWD (The Walking Dead) fan, the 3 things that are essential for a zombie apocalypse are the ff:

* Have a trusty weapon with you at all times, because Zombies love surprises. I would rather prefer a crossbow or a Samurai sword than a gun, because it doesn’t run out of ammo.

* A person. Specifically a best friend, brother or sister that you can trust and rely on, no matter what. As I’ve observed in the TWD Series, it’s all about survival of the fittest and two heads are better than one.

* Solar watch that has a navigation and weather prediction, because zombie apocalypse requires a lot of traveling until you get on a safe house.

4. What is your favorite part about blogging and why did you choose WordPress?

– My favorite part about blogging is that I can express my thoughts and emotions through poetry. It’s like when I post a poem caused by pain or anger, half of the pain and anger goes away. That is why my tagline is “Make me sad and I’ll write you a poem.” I chose WordPress because it’s free of charge and the bloggers here are like people I’ve known before. They’re really nice and we’re like a family here. A family that I don’t have in the real world, because I’m from a dysfunctional family and a product of a broken one too.

5. Do you have a fond memory that can instantly make you laugh? What is it?

– My aunt is scared of cockroaches. So there’s this one time when we’re walking in the streets late at night and a cockroach flew into her hair. She’s screaming and running around in circles, and the best part is her face and reaction, priceless! That was really hilarious and I almost peed my pants back then. (laughing my heart out, ATM)

6. If you had to eat the same thing for every meal, what would that meal consist of?

– Carbonara + Hawaiian Pizza + Chocolate milkshake (my tummy’s growling right now…)

7. Do you watch YouTube and if so who/what do you watch?

– I watch Michelle Phan’s make up tutorials because I’m naive when it comes to these things. Then I discovered that she is also an entrepreneur, which is very inspiring for a college student like me who’s taking up Business Economics.

8. Describe the type of person that just grinds your grins.

– A person who always lies. I know truth hurts, but lies hurt even more.

9. Are there any injustices in the world that deeply disturb you or call you to action?

– Child abuse and depriving children of a healthy and happy life. That’s why I signed up as a volunteer for Save the Children last two weeks ago. It’s an organization that saves children’s lives, fight for their rights and support them emotionally, physically and mentally. I was once like those children and I know the feeling. I just want to have a purpose in life, aside from having a degree and a well-paying job.

10. What superpower would you choose to have?

– I want Scarlet Witch’s mystic energy for reality-altering effects. It’s gonna be useful if you don’t feel like having an exam. You just alter the reality in your Professor’s mind and make him believe that he’s in a zombie apocalypse or he’s lying in a bed full of deadly snakes or spiders. (insert evil laugh) LOL, just kidding!

11. Who was the last person you said “hello” (or whatever other greeting) to?

– My aunt, who is also the aunt that I’ve mentioned in the no. 5 question. (starts to laugh like a clown again)

I nominate,

1. littleapolita                  6. krispercb       11. financialquestblog

2. justcallmefrance         7. charlypriest

3. penpowersong           8. dauglyducklin

4. shairashby                 9. chestermaynes

5. ericjulian4                 10. vonjproductions

MY QUESTIONS:

1. What is/are your goal/s in life?

2. Who is that one person you look up to?

3. Do you have that one moment in life that you want to happen again?

4. Poem or prose?

5. What is your favorite unconventional book?

6. What’s your break-up story?

7. Who was your first true love?

8. What field are you into now?

9. Who/What pushed you to become a blogger?

10. Who/What inspires you the most?

11. Happiness or Sadness?

This was awesome, Thank you again for the nomination thoughtsofaninternetperson! 😀
